Flower
Quest Enter a land of magic and wonder,
where a young sorceress-in-training
uses her green thumb, rather than a
magic wand, to solve puzzles. To win,
simply rotate the branches and roots
of budding flowers to connect the
plants one to another. Doing so
removes the tiles on which they rest
and allows you to progress to the
next level.
As you race against the clock, you
will receive help in the form of
blossoms that blow up nearby tiles.
Just watch out for the Predator
Flowers, which restore tiles you've
already cleared.
Do well, and your teacher will reward
you with bonus rounds in which you
click on falling flowers to fill in
special inlay patterns.
Play FlowerQuest, and your love of
puzzle games will bloom as never
before! |

Arctic
Quest With a wave of his icy fingers, the
Snow King unleashed a bitter frost on
the tropical islands across Earth.
Palm trees iced over, fish were
frozen solid in the seas and birds
could no longer take flight.
Setting up a palace on the edge of
this arctic wasteland, the Snow
King's chilly spirit took pleasure in
expanding his kingdom beyond the
North Pole. To safeguard his empire,
he built a chain of 60 puzzles meant
to stop even the wisest sage from
reaching his castle and breaking the
spell. In Arctic Quest, you set out
to solve the puzzles, each of which
takes the shape of an animal or other
tropical wonder.
As pieces of ice fall from the sky,
you grab them with your mouse, rotate
them and place them on a grid within
the puzzle, filling in the shape and
returning warmth to the island bit by
bit. If the waters that surround your
once balmy home fill up with unused
ice, your quest will fail. Luckily, a
small fire burns on your land,
allowing you to melt surplus ice.
You can also earn bonuses that grant
you various powers, such as the
ability to smash excess ice or paint
in portions of the grid. |

Bistro
Stars Bistro Stars combines gaming and
snacking into one mouthwatering
experience. Although you can't eat
what's on the screen, you'll be
smacking your lips as you match up
food items in the delectable new
action-puzzle offering.
You'll have to curb your appetite,
though, so you can feed a parade of
hungry customers before time runs
out.
In Bistro Stars, you use your mouse
to swap the location of two objects
on the screen.
When you line up three or more
similar food items, such as a trio of
juicy hamburgers, the order is
whisked off to a customer. To win the
level, you must clear at least one
food item from every square.
Bistro Stars comes with two hearty
campaign modes: Classic and Speed.
Three Single Game modes are
available, too, for when you want to
snack on Bistro Stars rather than eat
a full course meal. So step up and
start filling orders. Customers are
waiting! |

Crystalix Many puzzle games offer an endless
succession of static screens, but not
Crystalix. This new release features
a scrolling world bursting with
visual surprises. Besides providing a
beautiful world in which to play,
Crystalix also offers a unique blend
of logic and arcade action.
In Crystalix, you're a wizard who
sets out to cleanse his land of the
remains of a shattered comet. To
clear away bits of the cosmic debris,
you must place game pieces of
different colors and shapes over
matching stacks of gems. New game
pieces roll across the bottom of the
screen and will start to accumulate
if they're not used. A quick hand is
helpful, but you should also plan
ahead if you want to clear away all
of the pieces of the comet.
Staying focused on the gameplay won't
be easy, though, as the world of
Crystalix is brimming with
distracting details. Each stage
contains several piles of gems; when
you finish off a stack, your
viewpoint scrolls across the game
world to the next one, allowing you
to click on precious stones and gold
coins before they vanish off-screen.
When you move your mouse pointer over
a swarm of lightning bugs or a fish
swimming upstream, you're rewarded
with a secret animation. From a
moonlit forest to a winter
wonderland, Crystalix proves puzzle
games can be as enjoyable to look at
as they are fun to play. |
